Radisson Rewards Points Value Calculator
How Radisson Rewards points are valued
This page covers the Radisson Rewards international programme (Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa). Radisson-branded hotels in the Americas were sold to Choice Hotels and now earn and redeem Choice Privileges points.
No Award Nights
Radisson Rewards no longer has reward nights. You search for a cash rate as normal, and at the payment step you can use points to reduce the cost, in part or in full.
Why the Value Varies
The value per point depends on the share of the room rate you pay with points, not on how many points you use. Covering a small slice of the bill gets about 0.19¢ per point; paying the whole room with points gets about 0.29¢. The same 17,000 points can cover all of a budget room at the higher rate, or a fifth of an expensive room at close to the lower one.
Getting the Most From Your Points
There is no aspirational sweet spot to save for. The best value comes from letting your balance grow until it covers all, or nearly all, of a room you would book anyway. Spending a few thousand points on each stay as you earn them sits at the bottom of the range. Premium and VIP members paying their own way may also do better with Discount Booster, which gives a larger cash discount than the points it gives up are worth.
Transferring to Airlines
Points transfer to Finnair (Avios) and Air France KLM Flying Blue at 10:1, and to SAS EuroBonus at about 7:1. Valuing a mile at around 1.4¢, a transfer returns roughly 0.14¢ per Radisson point — the floor if the programme devalues. Gift card redemptions have been discontinued.
