Privacy Policy
PointsCalc is built to need as little information about you as possible. There are no accounts and no sign-up, and we don’t ask for your name, email address or loyalty program details to use any of the tools.
Calculator inputs
All calculations run in your browser. The stay costs, points balances, award prices and other figures you enter are not sent to our server and are not stored by us.
Settings saved in your browser
To save you re-entering them, the calculators remember a few choices in your browser’s local storage: your input currency; for each program your elite status, credit card, brand, rate type, point value and which offer sections you have expanded or collapsed; and any value you set for airline miles or other partner currencies. These settings stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are not used to identify or track you.
The Saved Settings page shows everything stored in your browser and lets you clear any of it. You can also remove it all by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services. The pages don’t load scripts, fonts or other content from third parties. If that changes, we’ll update this policy before it does.
Server logs
Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs, which record details such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are not combined with other information or shared, except where required by law.
If you email us
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to fix any problem you report, and we don’t add you to a mailing list or share your details.
Links to other sites
The offers pages and calculators link to hotel loyalty program websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
