GHA DISCOVERY D$ to USD
DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) have a fixed value: D$1 always equals USD 1. There’s no fluctuating exchange rate and no award chart to calculate — the conversion is 1:1.
How D$ Are Earned
Earning rates depend on membership tier: Silver earns 4% of eligible spend, Gold earns 5%, Platinum earns 6%, and Titanium earns 7%. D$ earned are rounded down to the nearest dollar, with a minimum earn of D$5.
How D$ Are Redeemed
D$ can be redeemed at checkout or at the booking stage across participating hotels, with a minimum redemption of D$10. They can be used toward rooms, dining, spa, golf, and other Experiences.
A Note on Other Currencies
When D$ are earned or spent in a currency other than USD, GHA converts the amount using its own selected exchange rate — which may differ slightly from the rate used elsewhere on your bill.
Buying D$ Directly
If purchasing D$ outright (rather than earning them through stays), note the rate is different: the retail price is USD 0.85 per D$, so this is only worthwhile in specific situations — not a 1:1 deal.
